Beyonce Knowles is reportedly being lined up for a solo performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The annual event will be staged at the Forum in Inglewood, California, on August 24. Beyonce has history with the awards show, as it was where she confirmed she was pregnant in 2011, and it’s been claimed bosses are desperate for her to take to the stage this year too.

Samsung on Thursday, reported second quarter operating profit of 7.9 trillion won ($7 billion USD).

That is a 17.1% decline from the 9.53 trillion won in operating profit ($9.3 billion USD) that Samsung reported in last year’s second quarter. Revenue was 52.35 trillion won ($51 billion USD), off 8.9% from the 57.46 trillion in revenue ($52 billion USD) that Sammy scored in the 2013 period.

Daimler will invest 1.5 billion euros in German Sindelfingen plant

SINDELFINGEN, Germany (Bloomberg) — Daimler will spend 1.5 billion euros ($2 billion) through 2020 upgrading its largest car plant, in Sindelfingen, Germany, after employees agreed to more flexible working terms.

The Mercedes-Benz factory will generate at least 100 million euros in savings through the labor agreement, which gives the company greater flexibility to assign production shifts, especially during the ramp-up and phase-out of a model, Daimler said in a statement distributed at a press conference at the plant.
